Brighton & Hove Albion lead 1-0 at half time against Burnley in their Championship clash at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion have opened up a one-goal lead over Burnley following the first half at the Amex Stadium.

The visitors did all the early pressing, with Tomasz Kuszczak being forced into action in the fifth minute.

He had to turn the ball over the bar from Junior Stanislas's dangerous cross, before Keith Treacy fired narrowly wide after cutting in from the right.

Sean Dyche's men did not manage to score while they were on top and were punished in the 20th minute.

David Lopez was on hand to tap after being found at the back post by Andrea Orlandi.

Jason Shackell then saw a header cleared off the line, before Kuszczak pulled off a magnificent stop to deny the defender once again.

After twice surviving, the hosts should have gone 2-0 ahead through Leonardo Ulloa. He latched onto Orlandi's cross but put the ball over with the goal at his mercy.
