Brighton choose to extend the contract of former Spain international Vicente Rodriguez by a further season.

Former Spain international Vicente Rodriguez has extended his stay at Brighton & Hove Albion by a further year.

The 30-year old ex-Valencia winger signed a 12-month contract with the Seagulls last summer with an option to prolong the deal.

Manager Gus Poyet has exercised that option after he being impressed with the Spaniard's contribution at the Amex Stadium last season.

Vicente scored three goals in 17 appearances for Brighton as they recorded a 10th-place Championship finish.
