Gust Poyet is delighted with Leonardo Ulloa's impact and insists that he can make the difference in the promotion push.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has said that striker Leonardo Ulloa can be the difference between promotion and failure this season.

Poyet insists that last year Brighton didn't have a player with the goalscoring prowess of Ulloa when his side slipped out of playoff contention towards the end of the campaign.

"When you sign a player like Leo you want to show to people why you signed him," Sky Sports News quotes Poyet as saying.

"Leo wanted to come here to help us achieve what we want to achieve. To go on and play in the Premier League you need to score a lot of goals in the Championship.

"That is the difference between this season and last season. The players know the chance we lost last year when we didn't finish well when we were fifth."

The result keeps Brighton sixth in the Championship.
