Team News: Jordan Rhodes misses out for Blackburn Rovers through injury

Striker Jordan Rhodes misses out for Blackburn Rovers in their Championship clash with Brighton and Hove Albion with a knee injury.

Striker Jordan Rhodes misses out for Blackburn Rovers in this afternoon's Championship clash with Brighton & Hove Albion with a knee injury.

Rhodes's absence means that Nathan Delfouneso and Fode Koita, who has shaken off a knee injury, start together up front, while there is a debut for new loan signing Tom Lawrence, who joined yesterday from Leicester.

Gary Bowyer has made two changes from Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City, bringing Lawrence and Danny Guthrie in for Jason Lowe and Adam Henley, who are both unavailable through illness.

For Brighton, Jamie Murphy makes his first start on the wing since signing from Sheffield United, while there is still no place in the squad for Bobby Zamora since his return to the club.

Brighton & Hove Albion: Stockdale; Bruno, Greer, Huenemeier, Bong; LuaLua, Stephens, Kayal, Murphy; Hemed, Baldock

Blackburn Rovers: Raya; Marshall, Hanley, Duffy, Spurr; Lawrence, Guthrie, Akpan, Conway; Delfouneso, Koita
