Team News: Craig Mackail-Smith makes Brighton & Hove Albion bench

Craig Mackail-Smith returns from a long-term injury to make the bench for this afternoon's visit to Barnsley.

Craig Mackail-Smith has been named in Brighton & Hove Albion's first-team squad for the first time in more than a year.

The forward, who has been sidelined with an Achilles problem, has been included among the substitutes for this afternoon's visit to Barnsley in the Championship.

Defenders Peter Ramage and Martin Cranie are absent for the hosts, both suffering from hamstring strains, but Jack Hunt has overcome an ankle injury to make the bench.

Chris O'Grady will play as a lone striker for the Tykes in the absence of Marcus Pedersen.

Barnsley: Steele, Nyatanga, M'Voto, Kennedy, Etuhu, Dawson, Jennings, Cywka, Lawrence, O'Grady, McLaughlin

Brighton: Kuszczak; Calderon, Upson, Greer, Ward; Andrews, Stephens, March; Rodriguez, Lingard, Ulloa
