Championship outfit Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Nottingham Forest's Greg Halford on loan.
The 29-year-old has played for a multitude of clubs including Reading, Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers, before joining the Reds in 2012.
Seagulls manager Sami Hyypia told the club's official website: "With Aaron Hughes out injured we were faced with a similar problem we have had in goal and needed cover.
"Greg has an abundance of experience not only in the Championship but also in the Premier League, and with Aaron out we wanted that level of experience to be replaced as well, so he is a good fit."
Halford has been named among the substitutes in Brighton's league clash against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening.
