Speculation that Ryan Harley could leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer has grown with the Championship club failing to award the midfielder a squad number for the coming season.
The 28-year-old, who finished last season on loan at MK Dons, did not feature in the club's list of 23 players who were handed numbers for the new campaign on Wednesday.
Harley has appeared in a pre-season clash for Brighton this summer, but it is believed that he has been deemed surplus to requirements under the new management.
A number of Football League clubs are said to be monitoring developments, with MK Dons said to be considering another move for the former Exeter City playmaker.
