Burnley trio sign one-year contract extensions

Burnley trio Dean Marney, Stephen Ward and Kevin Long sign one-year contract extensions with the club to keep them at Turf Moor until the summer of 2018.

Burnley trio Dean Marney, Stephen Ward and Kevin Long have all signed new one-year contract extensions with the club.

All three players entered the final year of their old deals this season, but have now put pen to paper to keep them at Turf Moor until the summer of 2018.

Marney and Long are the longest-serving players in the current Burnley squad having joined the Clarets in 2010, while Ward arrived from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014.

Marney and Ward have both started all five of Burnley's Premier League games so far this season, although Long is yet to feature for the club since their return to the top flight.

Burnley currently sit 16th in the Premier League table having amassed four points from their opening five games.
