Aston Villa and Sunderland may try to hijack Southampton's move for Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez, according to reports.
The Saints have had a £7m bid accepted for the 22-year-old, and are currently discussing personal terms.
However, late interest from Villa and Sunderland could prize the England Under-21 international away from a move to St. Mary's, according to the Daily Mail.
Rodriguez, who has come through the youth ranks at Turf Moor, scored 21 goals in 39 appearances for the Clarets last season.
