Bury replace Burton Albion at the top of the table thanks to a second half brace from substitute Danny Nardiello, at the Gigg Lane.
After a goalless first half, it was the Brewers who had the better first 45 minutes, but they were unable to convert several of their chances.
Shakers manager David Flitcroft brought on Nardiello at the restart, with his faith in the striker instantly restored as the forward scored with his first touch of the ball after a mishit Danny Mayor shot was tapped in by Nardiello.
Ryan Lowe then doubled Bury's lead on the 57th minute as the striker got in between defender and goalkeeper to poke the ball into the net.
Nardiello scored his second and wrapped up the game after an overhit backpass from Shane Cansdell-Sherriff to goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin was intercepted by the substitute to make it 3-0.
Jacob Blyth got a consolation goal in the 88th minute but it was Bury who walked away with all three points and leapfrogged Burton to the top of the League Two table.
