Bury held by 10-man Blackburn Rovers after Williamson sees red at half time

Ten-man Blackburn Rovers come back from a goal down to take a draw as Jordan Rhodes converts a later penalty for the visitors.

Bury were held to 10-man Blackburn Rovers this evening as midfielder Lee Williamson was sent off on the stroke of half-time for a reckless tackle on Ryan Lowe.

Both teams had the ball in the back of the net in the first half, with each goal ruled for offside.

In the 45th minute Williamson made a late challenge on Lowe to receive a straight red card, leaving the home side anxious about Lowe who remained on the floor.

The Shakers took advantage of having an extra man on the 70th minute as Danny Nardiello headed home Chris Hussey's free kick to make it 1-0.

As Bury looked like they were going to hold on for the win, Joshua King was brought down in the box on the 84th minute with Jordan Rhodes converting the penalty into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.

Bury and Blackburn pressed for their second goal but both teams were unable to find it, with the score staying 1-1 at full time.
