Half-Time Report: Senad Lulic fires Lazio ahead

Lazio lead Cagliari 1-0 after 45 minutes of their Serie A match this afternoon.

A goal from Senad Lulic has given Lazio a 1-0 lead over Cagliari after 45 minutes of their Serie A match this afternoon.

Andrea Cossu came close to opening the scoring early on for the hosts when he drove into the box and curled in a strike, but it was beaten away by Federico Marchetti.

Lazio had a chance of their own soon after when Miroslav Klose saw his low drive from just inside the box saved by the keeper.

In the 19th minute the visitors took the lead through Lulic, who latched onto Cristian Ledesma's flicked pass, drove into the box and fired the ball past Vlada Avramov.

Alvaro Gonzalez wasted a chance to score a second midway through the half, as he was picked out at the back post by Lulic but placed his header wide.

Segundo Ibarbo then came close for the home side as he burst down the left wing, before cutting inside and drilling in a low strike, which was held by Marchetti.
