Cagliari Calcio have confirmed that they have parted company with manager Zdenek Zeman after six months in charge of the club.
Reports emanating from Italy on Monday had suggested that the 67-year-old was in danger of losing his job as the Rossoblu sit 18th in Serie A, with one win in their last 11 games.
"Cagliari Calcio announces that from now Zdenek Zeman leaves the technical guidance of the first team," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The company would like to thank the coach and all his staff for the work done in recent months with great professionalism and dedication."
The 67-year-old, who was only appointed in July, has previously managed Lazio, Roma and Fenerbahce in a 31-year managerial career.
