Richard Money has provided a critical assessment of the way that his Cambridge United side have defended this season.
The U's have conceded 47 goals in League Two this term; only five clubs have worse records.
Speaking after last night's 3-0 home defeat at the hands of York City, Money conceded that his team have been poor defensively throughout the campaign.
"We haven't defended well enough in this league and that's a pretty simple statement," he told the Cambridge Evening News.
"People may agree or not agree, but the simple facts are we haven't defended well enough all season in this league and that's why we are where are."
Heading into Saturday's trip to Shrewsbury Town, Cambridge are 16th in the table.
