Elliot Omozusi has revealed that he is eager to "establish" himself in the Cambridge United starting lineup.
The summer signing from Leyton Orient was an unused substitute for the 3-0 win over Newport County on the opening day of the season.
However, having played the full 90 minutes during Tuesday's League Cup clash against Rotherham United, the 26-year-old has insisted that he is "ready" to feature on a regular basis.
"It was good to finally get my competitive debut as well as 90 full minutes under my belt," the defender told the club's official website.
"The plan is to try and establish myself now and I'll be ready as soon as the gaffer calls me to put a shift in."
Next up for Cambridge is a trip to Carlisle United on Saturday afternoon.
