Cambridge United have signed Shrewsbury Town defender Mickey Demetriou on a six-month loan deal.
The 25-year-old moved to the Shrews last summer after seeing out his contract at Kidderminster Harriers.
"We have been active in trying to bring another versatile left-sided player to the club and Mickey fits the profile perfectly," Cambridge boss Richard Money told Cambridge's official website.
"He will give us good options and competition at left-back, left wing-back and left midfield, all areas where we felt we needed another player."
Cambridge are in Johnstone's Paint Trophy action tonight when they host Dagenham & Redbridge.
