Cambridge United have secured the services of Leon Legge on a two-year contract.
The 29-year-old has made the switch to the Abbey Stadium following his recent release by Gillingham.
"I'm very pleased to be coming to Cambridge United. The supporters and everything about the club appealed to me which is why this is the club I have chosen in the end," the defender told the club's official website.
"I have had a little bit of experience in League Two before and won this division with Gillingham.
"Hopefully I can share that experience with other lads in the side, so we'll be looking to push up high in the league and do great things here."
Legge started his professional career with Brentford in 2009, before linking up with the Gills two years ago.
