Tom Elliott looking to the future

Striker Tom Elliott is refusing to be too downbeat following his release by Cambridge United.

Tom Elliott has insisted that he is optimistic about his next move in football.

The striker was one of a number of players to have been released by League Two side Cambridge United at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

However, despite the uncertainty of currently being without a club, the 24-year-old has revealed that he is "feeling happy about the future".

"It's always going to be emotional when you leave because I've had a great time here," he told the Cambridge Evening News.

"I've had positive talks with my agent and I'm feeling happy about the future.

"I can't wait to see what's in the next chapter, but Cambridge will always have a big place in my heart."

Elliott scored 28 goals during his three-year stint with the U's.
