Rudy Gestede's early goal has given Championship leaders Cardiff a half-time lead against Millwall in the Welsh capital.
Craig Noone let Cardiff open the scoring in the eighth minute as he beat a couple of defenders before delivering a perfect cross for Gestede to tap in from close range.
Craig Bellamy almost doubled his side's lead just moments later, missing the target with a curled effort following a weaving run on the left of midfield.
Millwall struggled to compete against the flowing passing of Cardiff and Noone went close to adding his name to the score-sheet when he fired a shot just wide of David Forde's post.
However, the visitors almost equalised against the run of play as Liam Feeney broke away from the defence before picking out Darius Henderson, who headed the ball straight at David Marshall.
Marshall once again came to Cardiff's rescue when he reacted to keep out another header from Henderson.
The home side headed into the break on top though and could have doubled their lead when Gestede found Bellamy in the box, but the former Liverpool forward failed to hit the target with his shot.
