Cardiff City manager Malkay Mackay has declared that he was delighted with his side's battling performance against Birmingham City.
Goals from Craig Bellamy and Mark Hudson gave the Bluebirds a 2-1 win over Birmingham to take them top of the Championship table.
Mackay said that his side must now maintain focus in the quest to stay in the promotion hunt.
He said: "I was delighted tonight. I always knew it was always going to be a tough game for us.
"It's nice to be up there but it's about being consistent. There's a long way to go so nobody's getting carried away about being top of the table.
"There were four or five chances that flashed across their box that we should have dispatched, but overall I'm very happy."
Cardiff continue their Championship campaign with a trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town on Saturday, October 6.
