Preview: Cardiff City vs. Aston Villa

Sports Mole looks ahead to Cardiff City's home clash with Aston Villa in the Premier League.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has guided Cardiff City to the fifth round of the FA Cup since his appointment as manager in January, but the Bluebirds have won just one of his five Premier League matches at the helm.

It means that the Welsh outfit are second from bottom in the standings ahead of Aston Villa's visit to the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night.

Solskjaer is likely to be without defenders Mark Hudson and Andrew Taylor because of injuries, although Jordon Mutch and Craig Noone could be in line for recalls.

As for Villa, despite their 2-0 home defeat last time out to West Ham United, they make the trip four points clear of the relegation zone.

Captain Ron Vlaar could be sidelined by a hamstring injury, while Ryan Bertrand is a doubt with a rib complaint.

These two sides have not met in Wales since a Second Division clash back in December 1974.
