Preview: Cardiff City vs. Middlesbrough

Sports Mole looks ahead to Middlesbrough's visit to Cardiff City in the Championship on Tuesday.

Cardiff City will be attempting to end a three-match run without a win in the Championship when they host Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

Despite taking a two-goal lead against Norwich City on Saturday, the Bluebirds slipped to a 4-2 defeat which left them 15th in the table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could hand a debut to new signing Bruno Manga, after he missed out on a place in the squad at the weekend, while Danny Gabbidon could also feature after rejoining the club.

Mats Moller Daehli was not risked at the weekend after picking up an injury while on duty for Norway, but is expected to be fit for Tuesday's match.

Meanwhile, Tuesday's visitors have been in mixed form this season, winning three and losing three of their six outings in the Championship so far this campaign.

Middlesbrough needed an injury-time winner to beat Huddersfield Town at the weekend and are 10th in the table heading into this fixture.

With no new injuries to worry about, Aitor Karanka could hand Jelle Vossen his first start for the club after he played more than 30 minutes off the bench on Saturday.

The sides did not meet last season as Cardiff were in the Premier League, but Middlesbrough were 2-1 winners last time they played in 2013.
