Cardiff City have continued their impressive start to the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Birmingham City at home.
The first real chance of the game fell to the Blues in the 15th minute, when Leroy Lita tried to turn in Keith Fahey's free kick, but David Marshall made a good save between the Cardiff posts.
Eight minutes later Peter Lovenkrands made a good clearance from a Peter Whittingham free kick for Cardiff.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 39th minute when Craig Bellamy turned home Mark Hudson's pass from inside the Birmingham penalty box.
The visitors were quick to reply in the second half, as Lita found the target from close range in the 54th minute.
However, the Bluebirds regained their advantage just four minutes later when Hudson turned in Whittingham's pass from just yards out.
Bellamy came close to making it 3-1 to Cardiff in the 77th minute when he forced a good save from Jack Butland.
Five minutes later it was the turn of Marshall in the Cardiff goal to make a save, as he denied Marlon King, with the game ending in a 2-1 win for the home side.
