Cardiff City are reportedly keen to sign West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison on loan.
The 21-year-old has dropped down the rankings at Upton Park, despite a strong start to his career as a Hammer following his move from Manchester United in January 2012.
According to BBC Sport, Cardiff, who are believed to have been interested in Morrison in the summer window, have approached the Premier League club about taking the controversial player on loan.
Reports have claimed that the Championship outfit's pursuit has been complicated by Morrison's impending court case over alleged assault.
Meanwhile, Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has emerged as the favourite to take the Cardiff manager's job following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure last week.
