Carlisle United appeal Gary Dicker dismissal

Carlisle United confirm that they have appealed the sending-off of midfielder Gary Dicker during the 4-4 League Two draw with AFC Wimbledon at Brunton Park.

Carlisle United have confirmed that they have appealed the red card shown to Gary Dicker in the 4-4 League Two draw with AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.

The midfielder was sent off while conceding the 81st-minute penalty from which Matt Tubbs scored to start a late Dons comeback, which was completed by Adebayo Azeez in stoppage time.

The club said on their official Twitter site: "We can confirm we have submitted an appeal against the red card shown to Gary Dicker on Saturday."

Dicker, who joined on a free transfer from Crawley Town in the summer, faces a one-game suspension and will miss Saturday's match against Bury at Brunton Park if the appeal is unsuccessful.
