Denny Johnstone scored a 98th-minute equaliser to earn Burton Albion a point at home to Carlisle United this evening.
The bottom-half side took the lead in just the second minute when Danny Grainger curled a free kick into the top corner.
Burton came close to equalising through Johnstone, who forced Mark Gillespie into a low save to keep out his header, before Abdenasser El Khayati flashed an effort marginally wide.
Johnstone went close again towards the end of the half with another header, but the visitors held on to lead at the break.
The league leaders continued to bomb forward in the second half and almost equalised through Matthew Palmer, who was denied by a flying save from Gillespie.
El Khayati then went close as he shot wide from six yards, while John Mousinho, Philip Edwards and Robbie Weir all missed golden chances.
In stoppage time, the home side were awarded a penalty after Stuart Beavon went down in the box, but Damien McCrory's low effort was saved by Gillespie.
However, Johnstone slammed the ball in from close range to extend his side's lead at the top of the table four minutes later.
