Carlisle United have agreed a one-month loan deal for West Ham United keeper Raphael Spiegel.
The Swiss Under-21 international, who is yet to feature for the Premier League club, has had loan stints at Crawley Town and Barnet this season.
Carlisle goalkeeping coach Tony Caig believes that Spiegel now has an opportunity to develop his fledgling career.
Caig told the club's official website: "I've watched him play a couple of times and we've been given a lot of footage to review as well.
"He's a good size, he's mobile and vocal, and he's a Swiss Under-21 international so he has good pedigree.
"West Ham are looking for him to make that next step and an opportunity to get out and play some football provides that opening for him."
Carlisle are currently 20th in League Two, two points above the drop zone.
