Celta Vigo defender Gustavo Cabral has denied that he has a signed a pre-contract with Valencia.
It had been claimed that the 30-year-old, who is out of contract with his current club at the end of the season, had already agreed to make the move to Gary Neville's side.
Cabral, however, has branded such rumours 'pure speculation' and vowed to concentrate on Celta for the rest of the campaign.
"I've not heard anything and neither has my representative, but it is logical rumours will emerge. There was also talk of Lazio but in the end nothing happened," he told reporters.
"Right now I'm just thinking of Celta, as I've always said, and doing things right game-by-game, although the issue over my contract has come to a full stop and we hope to speak later.
"It's obvious that as a professional I want to have things settled as soon as possible, more so because I have a family, and it's important for a player to have things right in his head."
Cabral has made 64 La Liga appearances for Celta since joining the Spanish club on a permanent basis from Argentine club Arsenal Sarandi in 2013.
