How Celtic could line up against Rangers

Sports Mole looks at how Celtic could line up against Rangers in Saturday's Old Firm derby.

Celtic have the chance to move further clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table when they travel to second-placed Rangers this weekend.

The champions have won three league games in a row and find themselves three points better off than their arch-rivals with a game in hand to play.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers has plenty of selection decisions to make for this second Old Firm clash of the campaign, which doubles up as his side's last outing before the winter break kicks in north of the border.

Ahead of Saturday's showdown in Glasgow, Sports Mole looks at how Celtic could line up.

Possible CEL XI vs. RAN

Arguably the biggest call for Rodgers to make comes up top, as Odsonne Edouard made a big impact from the bench in the 4-3 win over Aberdeen last time out and is in line to return to the starting lineup, despite not being 100% fit.

Scott Sinclair netted a hat-trick on Boxing Day and is therefore almost certain to retain his place in the forward line, while James Forrest has been a regular down the right throughout the campaign.

Rodgers is sweating over Kieran Tierney's availability, meanwhile, having been without the left-back for a couple of weeks now, so it may well be a choice between Emilio Izaguirre and Jonny Hayes in that position.

Elsewhere, calls have been made for Craig Gordon to be dropped after conceding three more against Aberdeen, but Scott Bain - used against Aberdeen and Dundee already this month - may have to watch on from the bench for now.
