Celtic manager Ronny Deila praises team's 'togetherness'

Celtic boss Ronny Deila challenges his players to hold onto the top spot in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has praised his side's "togetherness" after a 2-1 victory at Aberdeen fired them to the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops needed a last-ditch goal from Virgil van Dijk to secure maximum points and climb to the summit, and the Norwegian has challenged his players to stay there.

"That's the goal," he told reporters. "It's going to be tough all season. But we have fought our way back to the top and we just have to keep on winning games.

"Performances have been better and better. Team spirit and togetherness is better. And that's what we need to win games, especially when conditions are not the best."

Aberdeen opened the scoring through Adam Rooney before Stefan Johansen netted for the Hoops, with Van Dijk adding their second at the death.
