Rangers manager Ally McCoist admits that Celtic deserved their 3-0 victory at Parkhead.

Rangers boss Ally McCoist has admitted that Celtic deserved their 3-0 victory in the Old Firm derby at Parkhead this afternoon.

Goals from Gary Hooper, Kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew condemned the Gers to a disappointing defeat against their fierce rivals and McCoist believes that the scoreline was a fair reflection of the match.

"The better team won on the day, we didn't deserve to," McCoist told Sky Sports News.

"We made it too easy for Celtic with the first two goals, and we certainly didn't pass the ball well enough so it's extremely disappointing.

"However, I have nothing but full admiration for every one of my players. They've been great. I wouldn't wish our position on any other football team but my players have been fantastic throughout."

McCoist has been in charge of the Ibrox club since June 2011.
