Scottish Premier League roundup: Celtic beat 10-man Aberdeen

There are wins for Celtic, St Johnstone and Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League.

Celtic claimed a 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium in the lunchtime kickoff in the Scottish Premier League.

Goals from Kris Commons and James Forrest helped Neil Lennon's men to victory, with Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield seeing red for the home side.

St Johnstone claimed the biggest win of the day as they beat Ross County 4-0 thanks to goals from Nigel Hasselbaink, David Wotherspoon and two from Stevie May.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Motherwell. Richie Foran and Billy McKay scored the goals that keep the home side top of the league.

Hibernian and Dundee United drew 1-1 at Easter Road as both sides ended with 10 men.

Stuart Armstrong gave the visitors a half-time lead before Gavin Gunning and Kevin Thomson were both sent off. Scott Robertson scored with a long-range strike 10 minutes from time to claim a point for the home side.

St Mirren were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Kilmarnock. Kris Boyd gave the visitors the lead before being sent off and the home side soon made their advantage pay when Gary Harkins fired home an equaliser.
