Kieran Tierney delighted with Celtic prominence

Kieran Tierney says that he still feels like a "young boy" at Celtic - even though he has started and finished their last seven matches.

Young Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney has said how he is delighted to have developed into a regular fixture with the Bhoys this season.

The 18-year-old defender has played every minute of the Hoops' last seven matches, having displaced Emilio Izaguirre earlier in the campaign.

Despite being ever present in the senior side these days, Tierney, who rose through the club's academy, admits that he still feels like an awestruck "young boy".

"I've played seven 90 minutes in a row now so I'm delighted with that," he is quoted as saying by ESPN. "At the start of the season I was getting to 70, 75 minutes and was having to come off because I was tired, but I'm getting used to it.

"I don't know when I'll ever feel like that [first-team regular]. Just now I still feel like a young boy. I don't think it's a bad thing. It means I still need to work hard in training and work my hardest to get picked at the weekend.

"It has been great for me. Every young boy's dream is to play first-team football and I've been playing for weeks on weeks now so hopefully it continues."

Ronny Deila's men sit six points clear of second-placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership as they eye a fifth straight league title.
