Bolton Wanderers are reportedly planning to enter the race to sign Leicester City defender Matt Mills.
The 25-year-old has not played for the Foxes since February following a row with manager Nigel Pearson.
Mills is understood to be in talks with Celtic regarding a proposed swap deal involving Hoops defender Kelvin Wilson.
However, Trotters boss Owen Coyle is in the market to replace Zat Knight, who was released last week, and the Scot is prepared to go head to head with the Glasgow club for Mills's signature, according to The Mirror.
Mills has three years remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
