Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Kilmarnock's Scotland international left-back Greg Taylor and have been quoted £3m to sign the Killie academy graduate.

Celtic have opened talks to sign Kilmarnock defender Greg Taylor, according to a report.

The Scottish champions are eager to bolster their squad with a new left-back, having lost Kieran Tierney to Arsenal earlier this month.

According to the Daily Record, Kilmarnock have quoted Celtic £3m to prise away their 21-year-old starlet.

The club's hierarchy are aware of Taylor's eagerness to make the move to Parkhead.

The Killie academy graduate has featured in every minute of Kilmarnock's opening five matches this season, including in their 3-2 aggregate loss to Connah's Quay Nomads in the Europa League first qualifying round.

Taylor would be the second left-back to arrive at Celtic this summer after the Hoops signed Boli Bolingoli from Rapid Vienna.

Questions remain over manager Neil Lennon's faith in Bolingoli, however, having preferred midfielder Callum McGregor at left-back for their crucial Champions League defeat against CFR Cluj earlier this month.
