Celtic defender Mikael Lustig has stated that he would welcome the signing of striker Carlton Cole.
The former West Ham United man has been training with the Scottish Premiership side this week with a view to a permanent move.
Lustig has stated that Cole, who is a free agent after leaving West Ham in the summer, would be a good signing for the Hoops.
"I don't think he has played for a little while, but you can still see he's a good player," London 24 quotes Lustig as saying.
"He's experienced and he looks very good in the box. He's done really well down South and he brings us something that we don't have right now.
"He's a box player and is maybe stronger in the air. You always want new additions that can make the playing squad better."
Cole scored three goals in 26 appearances for West Ham last season.
