Charlton Athletic are succumbing to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers in this afternoon's FA Cup third-round clash at The Valley.
The visitors took the lead after just four minutes following a foray into the Addicks box that was poorly cleared towards Craig Conway, his subsequent cross headed home by Chris Taylor.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson countered for the hosts just a few minutes later as he drove towards the edge of the box, before dragging a left-footed effort just wide.
Both sides continued to trade chances throughout the first half, Matthew Kilgallon forcing a save from a long-range effort for Rovers and Johnnie Jackson blazing over the bar for the Addicks.
On the half-hour mark, the action on the pitch had to be postponed for just under 15 minutes as a floodlight failure forced the players off.
Just six minutes before half time, Charlton had a great chance to pull level when Yoni Buyens's first-time shot flew inches above the Blackburn bar following a George Tucudean deflection.
Despite a flurry of action in the latter stages of the first half, just the one goal separated both sides at the break.
