Charlton Athletic manager Jose Riga has insisted that his side are "still alive" in the Championship relegation battle.
The Addicks hauled themselves off the bottom of the table with a surprise 2-1 victory over Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday and could close the gap to safety to four points with a win over fellow strugglers MK Dons on Tuesday night.
Riga is hopeful that his side can keep up their recent performances over the next few games in order to maintain a late push for survival.
"[The win over Brentford] is a game which we can take as an example for our next few games," Riga told reporters.
"I like the reaction from my players because for the last few games, we can say that mentally and psychologically we are still alive."
Charlton's six matches immediately after their meeting with MK Dons all come against teams currently in the top half of the table.
