Angel di Maria: Paris Saint-Germain "deserved" to go through

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria says that his team were worthy winners against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Angel di Maria has insisted that his Paris Saint-Germain side were worthy winners in their two-legged Champions League tie with Chelsea.

The Parisians picked up a 2-1 victory from the first leg last month and they backed that up this evening as they won by the same scoreline at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to UEFA's official website after the final whistle, Argentine playmaker Di Maria said: "We're very happy. It's a huge joy. The work of one season is fruitful tonight.

"We demonstrated our talent. We controlled the game and the result is well deserved."

PSG have now reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in each of the last four seasons.
