John Terry: No complaints over red

John Terry admits that he has no complaints over the red card he was shown in this evening's memorable Champions League encounter at the Nou Camp.

John Terry has admitted that he has no complaints over the red card he was shown in this evening's eventful Champions League clash at the Nou Camp.

The Blues captain was dismissed for kneeing Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez in the small of the back moments after the home side had taken the lead.

Chelsea somehow went on to stage a remarkable comeback and progress to the final of Europe's elite competition.

Speaking afterwards, Terry said: "I've seen it on the replay and it doesn't look too good.

"I'm not that type of player to intentionally hurt anyone. It does look bad on the replay but hopefully those people out there that know me know that wasn't like me.

"I'm disappointed but absolutely delighted for the lads. I feel as though I've let them down, I've apologised to them and I'd like to apologise to the Chelsea fans as well."

Although Terry had no complaints after seeing replays of the incident, he said that he was "bewildered" at the time.
