Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has revealed that he has always dreamed of the winning the Champions League.
The Blues can move a step closer to securing a spot in the final of the competition with a victory over Barcelona in the opening leg of their semi-final against the Spanish champions this evening.
Having already won the European Championships and World Cup as a player, 28-year-old Torres is now hoping to add Europe's top club competition to his medal haul.
"I know the ambitions this club have in terms of winning the Champions League, but it's the same as what I have myself," he said. "It's something I dreamt about as a youngster growing up.
"It was the only trophy I wanted as a kid, to hold it in my arms, and if we do manage to win it, I'm sure it will be one of the greatest moments of my life."
Torres is believed to be competing for a place in the starting lineup tonight with Didier Drogba.
