Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that his side could end up suffering from a lack of strength in depth this season.
Mourinho's squad proved to have flaws as a second-string side were dumped out of the fourth round of the FA Cup at the hands of Bradford City, with the Portuguese coach suggesting that he tends to keep the same team to avoid imbalances.
"I don't want to speak too much about this, but it is easy for you to understand now why I play almost every game with the same players," said Mourinho, according to The Independent.
"I don't make many changes. I try to keep stability in the team. Maybe now you can understand a bit better why."
Chelsea are back in action on Tuesday night when they take on Liverpool in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final.
