Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Sheffield United could line up for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Sheffield United are facing a defensive injury crisis ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Blades have been short at the back for much of the campaign due to long-term injuries suffered by John Egan, Jack O'Connell and Jack Robinson, but their options will be further depleted for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea loanee Ethan Ampadu is ineligible to face his parent club, while veteran defender Phil Jagielka could miss out for personal reasons following the tragic death of his brother this week.

Chris Basham and Kean Bryan are still available, while Enda Stevens could be drafted into the back three with Max Lowe coming in at left wing-back.

Caretaker manager Paul Heckingbottom's injury woes do not end there, though, with Sander Berge and Jack Rodwell also absent for the visitors.

There is better news with regards to David McGoldrick, who missed the 5-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City last weekend with a knee injury but is now back in training and should be in contention.

Rhian Brewster will be pushing for a rare start up front too, but Billy Sharp may be given the nod having scored the winner in the last two rounds.

The changes one might usually expect to see for an FA Cup game may not be the case for relegation-bound Sheffield United this weekend, with the FA Cup now their priority this season.

Sheffield United possible starting lineup:
Ramsdale; Basham, Bryan, Stevens; Baldock, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Lowe; McGoldrick, Sharp
