Sports Mole looks at the leading goalscorers in European leagues this calendar year, with Harry Kane and Erling Haaland among those playing catch-up heading into December.

As clubs and players enter the final month of 2024, one player looks uncatchable in the list of Europe's leading scorers for 2024.

Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres is comfortably clear of the chasing pack following an incredible year that has seen him emerge as one of the continent's most prolific goal-getters, earning links to some of the world's biggest clubs as a result.

The Swede's chances of claiming the accolade of leading scorer of 2024 were boosted by an injury to his closest challenger, Harry Kane, towards the end of the year.

Other familiar names such as Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland are also looking up at the Swede, while a number of other high-profile players around the continent feature on the highest scorers list for the year.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the top 10 goalscorers from across the European leagues in 2024.
