Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs Norwich City

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown with Norwich City.

Chelsea travel to Norwich City this weekend as Frank Lampard seeks his first victory in the managerial hotseat of the club where he enjoyed such success as a player.

After their transfer ban prevented them from making any signings over the summer, Lampard has placed his faith in Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham to inject youthful energy into his side.

The Blues will come into this game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Leicester and will be buoyed by the performance of Mount, who got off the mark for Chelsea on his home Premier League debut.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Lampard's side ahead of Leicester's visit.

England international Loftus-Cheek is not expected to return to the pitch until November after suffering a serious Achilles injury at the end of last season.

Hudson-Odoi, like Loftus-Cheek, is still carrying an Achilles injury from last season. The 18-year-old is unlikely to feature until after the international break in September, although timescales are not always accurate.

Van Ginkel ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament over the summer and underwent surgery in July. It was reported that the midfielder would be out for eight months, but the recovery time for ACL injuries can vary heavily among professional footballers.
