Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley 'to make injury return at Burnley'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will use midfielder Ross Barkley against Burnley on Thursday night following three months out injured, according to a report.

Ross Barkley will reportedly make his first senior appearance for Chelsea since January when the Blues head to Burnley on Thursday evening.

Manager Antonio Conte will likely be tempted to rotate at Turf Moor, with Sunday's FA Cup semi-final meeting against Southampton taking priority.

A nightmare start to life at Chelsea has seen Barkley play just 131 minutes of football since his £15m arrival from Everton three months ago.

According to the London Evening Standard, though, the England international will play a part against Burnley after training without any problems.

Barkley was used for an hour in Chelsea Under-23s' 3-0 win over Derby County at the end of last month and was an unused sub at Southampton last weekend.
