Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's EFL Cup final with Chelsea.

Liverpool step out onto the Wembley turf for a shot at EFL Cup glory on Sunday, with European champions Chelsea standing in their way.

The Reds advanced to the showpiece event after seeing off Arsenal in the semi-finals, winning 2-0 at the Emirates after a 0-0 first-leg draw at Anfield.

Not since the 2011-12 season have Liverpool lifted the EFL Cup - defeating Cardiff City on penalties that year - but they put six unanswered goals past Leeds United on Wednesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the final.

Diogo Jota

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: February 27 (vs. Chelsea)

Diogo Jota picked up an ankle injury against Inter Milan in the Champions League on February 16 and had not returned to team training before the Leeds win, so Jurgen Klopp is pessimistic over his availability for the final.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Similarly, Roberto Firmino has been in the treatment room with a muscular problem since the San Siro victory, and the Brazilian's chances of featuring on Sunday are non-existent.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for the final.
