Jamie Carragher has expressed his belief that Liverpool will face a massive challenge to reach the final of the Capital One Cup following their 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their semi-final.
Eden Hazard fired Jose Mourinho's side ahead from the penalty spot in the first half, but Raheem Sterling gave the Reds a lifeline in the tie with an equaliser while Steven Gerrard hit the post as Brendan Rodgers's side upped the ante late in the game.
However, Carragher feels that Liverpool will struggle to match the intensity of their play at Anfield when they travel to Stamford Bridge for the second leg next week.
He said on Sky Sports News: "It will be totally different. What I saw from Liverpool tonight was them at their best.
"When you have that pace and penetration in your play, bring the crowd together and use the energy from the players and crowd together, they caused Chelsea massive problems.
"They won't have that at Stamford Bridge. I'm sure they'll take six of seven thousand Liverpool fans, but they won't be able to use the crowd."
Chelsea could advance to the final of the League Cup on away goals if the match remains scoreless after extra time at the Bridge on January 27.
