Chelsea will play host to Newcastle United in the EFL Cup quarter-finals, their reward for defeating Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Chelsea have been handed a home tie against fellow Premier League side Newcastle United in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

On Wednesday night, Newcastle comprehensively outplayed Manchester United in a repeat of the 2022-23 final, running out 3-0 victors at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Chelsea had an easier night against Blackburn Rovers, prevailing by a 2-0 scoreline, and the two teams will now lock horns at Stamford Bridge in the week before Christmas.

Liverpool's reward for defeating Bournemouth is a home encounter versus West Ham United, who upset the odds to overcome Arsenal.

In a third all top-flight tie, Everton will go up against Fulham after they defeated Burnley and Ipswich Town with minimal fuss.

The final tie of the last eight sees League One club Port Vale play Championship side Middlesbrough, guaranteeing EFL opposition in the semi-finals.
