Carlo Ancelotti insists that he is hoping for a swift return to management.

Carlo Ancelotti has said that he wants to return to Premier League management as soon as possible.

The former Chelsea boss was sacked at the end of last season, but has denied suggestions that he is planning to take a break from the game.

The Italian, who still lives close to the Blues' training ground, insists that he is eager to find another job in English football, rather than abroad.

"I haven't said I want to take a year out," he told the Daily Mail. "I've said I'm not afraid to spend one year out, trying to find a solution that enables me to stay in English football.

"If I can find the right solution, the right team, I will be very happy.

"I feel I want to be able to wake up every morning and go training. Until now it has not been so difficult. It was the summer - there were no games."

Ancelotti, who led Chelsea to a league and FA Cup double in his first season at Stamford Bridge, was unable to avoid the axe after trophyless 2010/11 campaign.
